Have something I want. I really think that Chevrolet should start making the Suburban and the Silverado look the same again. I'd dig this front on the Silverado.

Still hate all this black plastic just hanging out, including that lower "grill" thats not even trying to hide that its blocked off.

Why do they even bother with that? It looks like it has the same approach angle (that is, if anyone is actually going off road with this) as a Civic.

The middle of the lower "grille" swaps out for license plate brackets for front-plate states, and there's tow hooks under the outer part. It was never intended to be a grille.

I think this would look ugly on the Silverado, but it works well here. You have to remember the Suburban and Silverado share little to no sheet metal anymore. What works on one might look hideous on the other.

If they'd make them look similar again then I think it might work,

I think they're both way the hell too huge and blingy, but the front of the Silverado looks getter than the gap-tooth headlights on the Tahoe & Suburban.

Then people would complain it looks too truck like. That's probably the reason why when GM redid the front end of the GMT800 Silverado, they didnt change the Tahoe, and why the only things shared exterior wise between the GMT900 Suburban and Silverado were the front doors and some wheel designs. Most people dont want their truck-based SUVs to look like their truck counterparts.

It probably is the same approach angle as a Civic lol. But the only reason they do it is for aero, its hard to get 23mpg out of something this big.

I agree with the blingy thing. We have a 21' 2011 3500 and it definitely isn't too big. Can carry lots of stuff in the back and it definitely helps keep the trailer hitch away from the window. That's a thing you have to be careful of in a short box.

That's because people are annoying and stupid. But what ever, imo this new one looks better than the last gen. Chevrolet definitely has gotten better the last few years.

I think pretty much all current full-size pickups are too big .

Kinja'd!!!

I've got a '99 Grand Cherokee in addition to my 135is in this picture. I'm about to replace the Jeep with a 4Runner or Pathfinder of roughly similar age.

I don't like anything much bigger than that. Maybe a 3rd gen Montero, or Land Cruiser 80 or 100, but that's about it.

Graphically speaking thats same shape as a grill on just about every car. I just don't get why it can't have a pattern and have the blocked off part inset so its just not so obvious.

Kinja'd!!!

No air gets through the Traverse's grill, but you can't tell in most lighting.

Thanks for reminding me of the Fat Tony story. A gem right there.

I don't know, I'd think with the popularity of crossovers that'd start to change. I mean, back in 2007 Tahoe was a lot more of a go-to three row than it is now. Then you kind of had to worry about the perception of people who just wanted a family hauler, but nowadays with the price bump and the plenty spacious three row crossovers all over I'd say that probably anyone buying a Tahoe today knows what they're getting in to.
